A graduate of the University of New Mexico Medical School, Dr. Lavor completed his internship at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, and his residency through the University of Illinois Metro Group Hospitals including: Mercy Hospital, Cook County, Illinois Masonic and Lutheran General Hospital.
He has been in private practice in Tucson since 1991, specializing in general surgery (including breast and endocrine surgery), vascular and trauma surgery, with extensive work and training in Laparoscopic surgery. He was a member of the Trauma Team at Tucson Medial Center. Dr. Lavor is board certified in General Surgery.
He was Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Tucson Medical Center, past Chief of Surgery and past Chief of Staff at El Dorado Hospital.
He currently is director for vascular services at El Dorado Hospital. At El Dorado Hospital, he is on the local physician leadership group, he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, president of the Rock Mountain Vascular Surgical Society, a Fellow in the Southwestern Surgical Congress, a member of the International Society of Endovascular Sugery and the Pima County Medical Society.
Dr Lavor served in the Navy for twelve years as Navy Corpsman. he is on the staff at Tucson Medical Center, El Dorado Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and El Dorado Surgery Center. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Arizona Medical Center Department of Surgery.

Dr. Probsfeld is a native of southern California. He attended Chapman College in Orange, California, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and graduated Magna cum Laude. He attended medical school at the University of California at Irvine and his internship and surgical residency were at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Probsfeld is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is governor of the Arizona chapter of the American College of Surgeons, and Chief of Surgery at Tucson Medical Center.
Active memberships include: The American Medical Association, Tucson Surgical Society, The American Society of General Surgeons, The Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, The Arizona Medical Association, The American College of Phlebology and the Pima County Medical Society.
From 1990 through 1993, Dr. Probsfeld served as a Major in the United States Air Force at Loring Air Force Base in Maine as Chief of Surgery and was responsible for regional triage durn the Desert Storm conflict. From 1993 until 1998, he was in private practice in North Central Wisconsin and in 1998 move to Tucson to practice. Dr. Probsfeld is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Arizona. He has privileges at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Tucson Medical Center and Tucson Heart Hospital.
His interest include colon and rectal biliary and Laparoscopic surgery. He is involved in State-of-the-art treatment for varicose vein problems with minimally invasive Ednovenous Laser Therapy, micriphlebectomy and sclerotherapy.

Vascular Surgeon and Endovascular Specialist
Dr. Matthew Namanny, who is originally from Iowa, received his medical degree from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center. He completed his general surgery residency through Michigan State University at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center in Detroit Michigan, followed by a vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship also at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. He completed another fellowship with emphasis on the latest endovascular interventions at the Arizona Hearth Institute in Phoenix, AZ.
Dr. Namanny has been board certified in general surgery since 2007, and is board eligible in vascular surgery. He has also been on the clinical teaching faculty at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2006. He is a member of the International Society of Endovascular Specialists, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Society of Vascular Medicine, and the Edward B. Deitrich Vascular Surgery Society. He specializes in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease with special interest in minimally invasive endovascular therapies.

Wayne began his medical career over 30 years ago when he became one of the first nationally certified paramedics in the State of Maine. In 1986, he received an Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse from the University of Maine and Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston Maine, with special recognition for medical/surgical and psychiatric nursing. He remained there for a year in the areas of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care medicine.
Upon relocation to Arizona in 1987, his training continued in Critical Care, Emergency/Trauma, and Flight Nursing. Wayne logged over 4000 medical transports on both helicopters and airplanes across North and Central America. In 1989, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix, and in 2005 a Masters Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He is Board Certified in Family Practice from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He attended an RN First Assist Program allowing him to assist surgeons in the OR, specializing in General and Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Layla Lucas is an Arizona native born and raised in Scottsdale. She received her medical and undergraduate degrees at the University of Arizona. She continued her training at the U of A and became board certified in General Surgery in 2010. A two-year fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery was also completed at the U of A in 2011. Her fellowship provided a particular emphasis on amputation prevention through their work with SALSA—The Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance. She is currently board eligible in Vascular Surgery. She is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, International Society of Endovascular Specialists, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, as well as other vascular, general, and regional organizations.
Dr. Lucas has a special interest in limb salvage, stroke prevention and treatment of aneurysmal disease. She has been trained in a wide variety of minimally invasive endovascular techniques, as well as traditional open procedures in order to treat the full spectrum of vascular diseases including but not limited to:
Abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysms
Peripheral arterial disease
Carotid artery disease
Renal artery stenosis
Deep venous thrombosis
Venous insufficiency and varicose veins
Dialysis access

Dr. Ducharme was born in Michigan and spent her childhood moving between Michigan and England.
She attended Regent’s College, London and Albion College and received a Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Pre-Med, and graduated Cum Laude. She attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and her internship and surgical residency was at Wilford Hall Medical Center / University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center – a combined military/civilian residency program. Dr. Ducharme is certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a fellow in The American College of Surgeons and has active memberships in the Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons and the
Aust Society.
From 1997 through 2011 Dr. Ducharme served in the United States Air Force. She was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Royal Air Force Lakenheath in England, and Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. She was deployed on multiple special missions and twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She is currently serving in the National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel.
